We developed edible hollow fibre membranes (EHFMs) that mimic native vasculature to facilitate the formation of whole cuts of structured cultivated meat.
Cell Cultivation with Prokitein™
Edible Hollow Fibre Membranes
Cell cultivation with Prokitein™ edible hollow fibres has been demonstrated in hollow fibre bioreactors with cell attachment enabled in both serum and serum-free media conditions. This system produces tissues aligned and integrated with the edible fibres to create structured products in a single bioprocessing step that significantly simplifies cultivated meat production.
